MOTC CLUB

The Murfreesboro Obedience Training Club, located in the heart of Tennessee, is a small AKC licensed club whose members love having their dogs be part of their lives.  Our members are active in obedience, rally obedience, agility, flyball and tracking.  We have a diverse group of dogs represented with members owning Dachshunds, Corgis, Border Collies, Samoyeds, Siberians, Australian Shepherds, German Shepherds and Beagles to name a few.

Our club meetings are the second Monday of each month where we discuss club matters, upcoming events and seminars, and for those interested, there is usually a member group that meets for a quick dinner before hand.

MOTC holds obedience classes several times a year, and hosts an AKC obedience trial in July as well as an AKC agility trial in June.  We also host a wide range of seminars that include obedience, agility and tracking.

Members receive all the traditional perks of having to be the main workers at our club events, but we also enjoy discounts on classes, entries, and seminar fees.

Club meetings are open, so please consider joining us one Monday.  For more information please email:  MOTC

Club Purpose

The purpose of the Murfreesboro Obedience Training Club (MOTC) is to promote the role of dogs as useful and beneficial to society, to improve the health and welfare of dogs, and to combat abuse, neglect and abandonment of dogs.  We feel that if the owner appreciates the intelligence, trainability, devotion and loyalty of dogs that the dog is less likely to be abused, neglected or abandoned and will be a much better companion to the owner.  We try to advance this purpose by educating the public about proper care and training of dogs through regular classes open to the public, and through special events.
